I borrowed the central image here of the tlaciulo or scribe from the Codex Borgia as restored by Gisele Diaz and Alan Rogers. The words of the scribe - both ancient and modern - become living entities that sharpen our awareness of ourselves and our surrounding world.

Floricantos or flowersongs are gatherings of musicians, artists and writers in the spirit of mexica tradition.
